When mistaken truths are taken for reality
When shadows of the past crave for clarity
when happiness is lost but not missed
When we feel the need to be kissed
When tears of joy are shed with hesitation
When death prevails over hopes of salvation
When the sound of music is lost in commotion
and the dance of the rain is mere precipitation
When the skies fall down and distance doesn't matter;
when the virtuoso takes his turn to falter.
When the sere flower is waiting to unfurl
but despair is out to rule the world
When identities are effaced
and the concept of hope, misplaced
When the hero of the hour is craven
though all we need now is one who is braver
This life deserves more than this
not trust lost and verity amiss
It's all just perception in the end
Is it easier to run or to pretend?
Though life has reached the lowest low
There's hope. The worst is over and truth begins to show
The grass is still green, the baby still cute
and if we try hard enough there is pleasure we can't refute.
for all we can say is that the glass is half empty
But taking a closer look we see how pretty
the world looks with rose tinted spectacles
and we realize that the glass is half full after all.

The bias towards anguish
When glimpses of the past threatens with a snigger,
I can see the gruesome hand wagging it's menacing finger
trying to warn me about an imminent future
Immured by the walls closing in-by life,
I stand here with what's left of hope.
though life hits rock-bottom,
and a pressing urge to succumb to despair prevails,
tomorrow is yet to come
and there lies a future that is brighter.
But what if all else fails?
The nagging question with no answer.
I let down all my defenses and hope.
Living under the pretense of happiness
Smiling to the world, for the world.
One day i hope,
someone learns the answer
I have searched for in vain.
With this hope i live,
hoping for a better tomorrow.
I can see the gruesome hand wagging it's menacing finger
trying to warn me about an imminent future
Immured by the walls closing in-by life,
I stand here with what's left of hope.
though life hits rock-bottom,
and a pressing urge to succumb to despair prevails,
tomorrow is yet to come
and there lies a future that is brighter.
But what if all else fails?
The nagging question with no answer.
I let down all my defenses and hope.
Living under the pretense of happiness
Smiling to the world, for the world.
One day i hope,
someone learns the answer
I have searched for in vain.
With this hope i live,
hoping for a better tomorrow.
